“It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence liberates others.”

I’ve been an Assemblies of God church member for most of my life. I thank God that I really didn’t know about the "women in ministry" debates until I got much older. That was God ’cause I hate politics and if I had known, I might not have become involved in ministry. Check out what the state of women is in AG here.
Oh how I remember that year 1993 in AG…when I found myself more active in ministry than ever…interim pastor, Manhattan Sectional Leader..etc..and then what I least expected…being rejected for ordination…in those days the women ordained all had white hair…LOL…aye…It took me a long time but I’m glad I didn’t give up. Some have asked ordained for what? I say well that is what I needed to do listen to that inner voice….LOL
