“It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence liberates others.”

I am hoping this news about ORU is just alot of hype and all will be discovered to be false. With the butt kicking the gospel continues to take in this society because of the actions (or inactions) of leaders in the faith-based community, I just hope and pray…
Liz:
It seems God is at work seperating the wheat from the weeds. I have always wondered how certain institutions use nepotism to appoint family members to positions such as president, CEO, or board positions. It seems to me like the fox is guarding the hen house. The question of solvency on the part of ORU and fiduciary responsiblity need to be thoroughly examined by outside auditors, and not just the board. Anyway you slice it, it does not bode well for institutions that are supposedly “faith-based.”

We need to keep our faith in JESUS, not people! People will let us down all the time. JESUS never fails.
